The King Ortler – highest mountain of the former Danube Monarchy and dream of many mountaineers.

With a cold beer and a snack on our terrace, in touch with this imposing mountain, the thoughts wander by themselves to the summit. Up there: a summit cross with great recognition value.
How would it be arriving at the goal of dreams? Having the 360° panoramic view over countless mountain peaks?
To achieve this, there are several possibilities – from our hut you can climb two of the most famous routes!
Once the easiest and most frequented route on the so-called “Normal Route”, but also the most challenging route over the Ortler North Face.
This North Face is one of the classic ice walls of the Eastern Alps.
